THESE T BARS ARE MADE OF 6061-T6 ALUMINUM AND ARE 2” HIGH X 1.75” WIDE WITH A TAPERED DESIGN FOR STRENGTH.

COMPARED TO THE RUNNERS PRESENTLY BEING USED:

SIZE WEIGHT PER FOOT x 13’ x 5 stringers

3/16 x 1-1/2” T 10.7oz x 13’ x 5 runners = 43.5lbs
1/4 x 2” T 20.0oz x 13’ x 5 runners = 81.25lbs

Tapered x 2 x 1.75” 12.5oz x 13’ x 5 runners = 50.78lbs

As you can see by the calculations above, a 13’ five runner ( stringer ) boat can have 30.5lbs shaved off by using our new AL Ts instead of the heavier 1/4 x 2” runners without giving up the strength that a 2” high rib gives you.
The new T is much stronger and than the 3/16 x 1-1/2” T and weighs only 1.8oz per foot more. A 13’ x 7 runner boat will have 42.66lbs shaved off.

2” HIGH RIB GIVES MUCH MORE STRENGHT THAN A 1-1/2” HIGH RIB. ALL ENDS HAVE A RADIUS. THIS ALLOWS BETTER ALIGNMENT
WHEN ATTACHING ANGLES OR Ts FOR MOTOR STANDS AND BULKHEADS ACT.

1-3/4” WIDTH AT BOTTOM GIVES PLENTY OF ROOM FOR RIVETS, 1/4 – 5/16” BOLTS, OR WELDING.
